Cassio Audi’s Success as a Metal Rock Drummer

Cassio Audi has always been very passionate about music, specifically the metal rock genre. He started playing the drums at a very young age, and at the tender age of 13, Cassio and a group of teenagers decided to form a band. This is how the famous Viper band came to be. Cassio played for the Viper Band from the time it was formed in 1985 until 1989 when he decided to venture into the corporate world. The other pioneering members of the band were Andre Machado, Felipe Machado, Yves Passarel, and Pit Pasarel. Some of the genres the Viper Band was most famous for include power metal, thrash metal and alternative rock.

Most of the songs produced by the band when Cassio was the drummer were great hits in Brazil and beyond, and are still very popular among metallic rock fans today. Some of these include Nightmare, Killera Princess from Hell, and Signs of the Night from the album, The Killera Sword, which was produced in 1985; and the Knights of Destruction from the album, Soldiers of Sunrise, which was produced in 1987. The Soldiers of Sunrise album was their greatest success and received very high ratings from various magazines including Metal Forces and Kerrang among others. The band was so big back then that it was often invited to play at various national events in Brazil.

Although Cassio Audi’s music career was short lived, he really influenced the metal rock genre through his unique style of playing. When he was on the drums, he was like a completely different person; he became one with the drums and played them like his life depended on it. Cassio is still an ardent fan of music even though he no longer does it professionally.
