Greg Finch, Trusted Orthopedic Surgeon

Orthopedic surgeons are trained to perform surgery on the musculoskeletal system. This type of surgery can bring relief for many conditions including arthritis, fractures, tendon damage, osteoporosis, and much more. Although all orthopedic surgeons specialize in certain areas of orthopedic surgery, some procedures are common with all.

Total Joint Replacement

Total joint replacement may be required for a number of reasons including severe arthritis and osteonecrosis. During total joint replacement, the damaged parts of the bone and cartilage are replaced with an implant. These implants are made from metal or plastic. Although recovery can be painful, total joint replacement leads to greatly diminished pain over time as well as improved range of motion.

Spine Surgery

Spine Surgery is often used to relieve severe back pain, though there are many other problems it can relieve. During spinal fusion, the most commonly used spine surgery, the surgeon joins the vertebrae together, limiting the stretching of the nerves and leading to reduced pain.
